Twas the Night Before Xmas ……

Well here we are looking Xmas in the face again. It has been another quick year, and each one seems to fly by quicker than the next. Xmas seems to get me thinking back on the year, so once again I am reflecting back, learning lessons, counting blessings and feeling amazed at my good luck.

Thanks to all you wonderful bloggers who have written some amazing blogs, they are the highlight of my week. And thank you for your kind words too. I’m not as prolific as you all are but it has been very gratifying to read all the lovely comments when I do get around to posting.

I sincerely hope you and your families will have some special moments on Christmas Day. Keep safe where ever you are in this wonderful world of ours.

dog and cat in xmas

I will be sitting around the pool with a cold glass in one hand and a book that I have been trying to finish in the other 🙂

    • Thank you for your kind words. I am just finishing off the gingerbread house for my get together with my husbands family. Still a few things to wrap, a glass of champagne in my hand and my best friend by my side. Life is good 🙂
Hope you have an awesome xmas x

  1. HAHAHA! I hope you are happy ma’am, I just fell off my chair again…so many posts in so few amount of months! ;). We even got sunshine on Christmas Day (your turn to fall off your chair now 😉 ) as the rain that was falling when we walked the dogs turned into steam by lunch time. How did that gingerbread house go? (Note I haven’t logged onto Facebook yet so no doubt there might be pictures 😉 ). LOVE that photo of the cat and the dog ;). Have a most awesome time for the rest of the year and here’s to a new, exciting, adventurous ride in 2015 :). BIG hugs from your old (and getting older every day but in a most reprobated and bolshie way 😉 ) mate on the other side of the country 🙂

    • Yes I thought you might faint when you spotted my post 😃. I even got a congratulations from wordpress ha ha ha. Had a lovely day too. The weather was nice enough to sit by the pool, but not hot enough to swim. I was very pleased with how the gingerbread house turned out! I have got pictures on fb if you get the urge to mosey on over for a look. My niece saw it so now she wants one too. Oh dear I will just have to drag myself into IKEA again (hand on forehead) 😜. I just have to remember to buy a piping bag this time. Used a zip lock bag to pipe this one. My decorating prowess leaves a lot to be desired…. I’m glad the sun came out for you guys. Enjoy your Boxing Day x

      • I killed my piping bag last Christmas trying to pipe some chocolate ganache and the bag split and the ganache went all over the place. I had to lick it up. You know how it is ;). Off to peruse FB right now as I just got in from watering Sanctuary that has gone completely feral. I have zucchinis the length of my arm that weren’t there last week I SWEAR! (I swear a lot 😉 ). We don’t have an IKEA here so hopefully the IKEA component of the gingerbread house is interchangeable with something else…(fingers crossed). Have a great Boxing Day right back atcha. I am about to drink some kind of alcoholic drink with fruit in it. I wish I had a little paper umbrella as our big golf umbrella just isn’t the same…sigh…
